Truffle Market 17th and 31st January 2021 (also featuring Duché d’Uzès wines!)
Duché d’Uzès AOP wines and black truffles (tuber melanosporum) were made for each other. They share the same birthplace, grew up together, and complement one another to perfection. Duché d’Uzès wines are a good foil for truffles, bringing out their earthy flavours, while the truffles highlight the wines’ complexity, elegance and length of flavour.
Harvests are well under way
With the white grapes (including Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Vermentino), and the Grenaches and Syrahs destined for rosés all safely gathered in, harvesting is slowly coming to an end here in the Duché d’Uzès appellation. Only the last of the red varieties - Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan – remain to be picked. Good weather
