Duché d’Uzès AOP wines and black truffles (tuber melanosporum) were made for each other. They share the same birthplace, grew up together, and complement one another to perfection.
Duché d’Uzès wines are a good foil for truffles, bringing out their earthy flavours, while the truffles highlight the wines’ complexity, elegance and length of flavour. It’s an impressive combination.
As the pandemic drags on, we’ve made the sad decision to cancel this year’s Winemakers’ Evening, the traditional start to our truffle weekend. And it looks increasingly likely that the Gala Evening featuring Michelin-starred chefs won’t take place either, nor will our Bodega event.
Meanwhile, as we continue to do all we can to help keep our Duché d’Uzès community safe during these unprecedented times, our winegrowers look forward to meeting you for our Truffle Day events on January 17th and 31st 2021.
Join us then to celebrate these precious tubers, Duché d’Uzès AOP wines, and the inimitable combination of the two!
See you very soon,
The Duché d’Uzès Appellation Winegrowers
